Phew -- nobody realized you weren't seeing replies to your messages. So now you're cooking!

Gotta love the GR system ...

And you did get the private message from L4W with details?

Good job, LfW. (You got the one for Valerie too?)

In what circumstances is that subscription worthwhile? Money to burn? ;) Just curious -- I know people here do subscribe. Lots of missing cousins, or just for the fun of it?

Hi Gemma -- he did marry Lynn Lamont, in 1989 (assuming this is the right Derek):

Name: Derek A Boozer
Spouse Surname: Lamont
Date of Registration: Nov 1989
Registration district: Maidstone
Registration county (inferred): Kent
Volume Number: 16
Page Number: 747

There are no Boozer births with mother Lamont after that date, but it could be that his children were born before the marriage. Or it could be that Lamont was not Lynn's birth surname, but a previous married name, so that is not the name that would be shown on their children's births.

Ah yes. There are four births in Maidstone up to 2005, when the index ends, with mother's surname Rye. Could be Derek's children, if Lynn was Lynn Rye.

If you search for his name at

http://www.192.com

you will see him listed on the 2002-2006 electoral roll with Lynn and two other related people (who would have to be of a voting age).

You can buy credits at that site -- oh, argh, I just finally checked into the price, and it isn't just credits, it's a big fat subscription you need, for 150 pounds. Yikes.

If you go to the Records Office board and ask for a lookup for Derek Boozer on the electoral roll, someone kind with a subscription may be able to send you the address info.

Meanwhile, this looks like his father's death:

Alfred Harold Boozer 26 Feb 1926 Feb 1994 68 Maidstone Kent

All but one of just over a dozen deaths for the name Boozer since 1984 have been in Kent, half of them in Maidstone. You could probably pick any Boozer in the phone book

http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/search/residential/search.publisha

-- search for Boozer in Kent -- and hit a family member. There is a listing for a V Boozer (and no death of a Val(erie) Boozer since 1984).
