I am looking for any information on my great-grandfather:

Pte William John Collins, 46956, Worcestershire Regiment.

I have looked on Ancestry but I don't think there's any details there. I'm presuming this could be for a couple of reasons:

* The records were destroyed in 1940
* He was never injured
* I'm as blind as a bat and can't see the wood for the trees

If anyone has any further suggestions, I'd be very happy to hear them!

Many thanks,

Steve
