I don't have any of the three in 1871. Would welcome fresh eyes as sometimes when I get stuck I can miss the obvious! |

Hi, Sorry - someone already found it for me and it wasn't ours, so they deleted the post. |

So if John wasn't with Mary in 1871, can anyone find him somewhere else in the census? |

Great, I hadn't thought that laterally with surnames. So possibly William England is William Ingram (right age) without his parents? |

I'm beginning to think the whole family had an aversion to marriage, lol! Can't find a register for any of them! |

Actually - all this is sort of an aside unless it links to my tree :) - I'm mainly after who John Stride married - and so far it's only the 1881 census that ties him to this family, without a marriage recorded. |

I don't think that is the right Jemima - or else a lot more is wrong, lol! (Not married at 1881 census and surname Williams) |

Hang on. Look what I found. Jemima might not be illegitimate after all! |

This is the only marriage that I could find for a Richard Weyman to a Mary: |

Jemima's birth cert will give you her mother's name. |
