So Mary is listed as wife in 1871 census? Whose wife? Mr Weymon or John Stride?

Hi Fiona,

Because the daughters have different surnames to John Stride, I'd assume that they were Mary's from a previous marriage.

I've found the following entry for a Mary Weymon with daughters Mary J and a weirdly spelt Gemima . Mary J's age is out of whack but evrything else seems to fit.

My husband's tree has 3 cousins, all John Stride, born in Evercreech, Somerset c1835-1838.

One of them is on the 1881 Wales census at 20 Bertram St, Roath, Glamorgan. He is living with his wife Mary Stride, and her married daughter Jemima Ingram age 18, and grandson William J Ingram age 4 months, and unmarried daughter Mary J Weyman age 28, and a boarder.

I'm after Mary Stride's maiden name. Have tried freeBMD for a marriage of John Stride to Mary "Weyman" or variations in case mis-spelt. Have tried for marriage of Jemima "Weyman" or Jemima with any surname to an Ingram - again no luck. Grandson William John Ingram birth registered Mar qtr 1881 as Ingram, so I'm assuming that surname is right.

Any lateral ideas (or obvious ones I'm missing - but not really keen on paying to get William's BC at this point)
