hi all,

i have posted on here before with no luck, it is really really important to my nan that she finds her half sister. she is fairly old so i am only being told stuff in dribs and drabs. her fathers name was George Albert Rogers brn c.1900.

my nans name is Sylvia betty (Known as Betty) she had a brother named Dennis and her mothers name was Agnes Daisy. During the war my nan remembers a woman possibly named Flo being around alot. this was the babies mother. from what i gather from my nan her surname may have been barker or baker. she beleives the baby was named christine and was born abt 1945. the family were living in sussex at the time. she is not sure what surname the baby was giving. Please if you recognise any of these names please get in touch.

so in short i am looking for a woman named Christine Barker/Baker or Christine Rogers. born in sussex. i know its a long shot but wondered if anyone could help me, it really is important to my nan.

thanks for your time, even any tips on how to find this person would be helpful.

thank you. Leanne.x

Hi, well if you have time and patience you could look at the complete bmd index searching quarter by quarter and looking at the images for the period you think is likely. However that will only give you a birth ref and you will then have to buy the cert for £7 to see who the mother and father are registered as.

You can go to ancestry.co.uk and get a free 14 days trial and look at the COMPLETE (not the paritial freebmd one) index on there.
