Joseph Wilcock YOB 1901 Married Lily Alston YOB c1902

Joseph Wilcock c1901 was the son of Joseph Wilcock YOB? but his occupation was Boiler plate rivetter and deceased at time of sons marriage for sure (died before WWI I'm told due to accident at work) Did the mother (unknown at this point remarry after this tragic death)?

JWc1901 may possibly have had half/step/full siblings called Nelly and Lizzie?

If anyone can assist me in tracing this family back further I would be so grateful.

Thank you ever so much
Carli Wilcock

Thank you so much Sue from OZ that does indeed confirm what I hoped to be true!

It seems some half/step siblings of JW1901 were mentioned but still not able to find how they come into play? how does one research half/step family with no real details other than some aloof names?

How do I confirm parents of JW1880 & EW1880? trace roots back further I mean?

MargaretM Report 24 Dec 2007 02:32

According to the 1901 census both Joseph and Elizabeth were born 1880, Manchester.

It's very difficult to pick them out on previous censuses without knowing the fathers' names. I'm thinking you might have to buy the marriage certificate to find them.

Witness Clara Wilcock

Lily Alston (age at marriage was 23yrs)

Ta Glitter Baby
Thats great it confirms Margaret & Williams first child for me as being Mary Alice born 1900

And narrows down Margaret's birth to 1877 0r 1878

Cheers

Bloomin Wilcock's seem to be a mystery and yet such a common name ;-)
