Found the death of this one?
Irene Alderson died aged 44 in Tynemouth vol1a page 568, 4th qtr 1965.

Norman Alderson married Irene Dowson in Durham W vol 1a page 2245, 3rd qtr 1948.

Your mothers birth states her mothers maiden name as being Dowson. That is if your mother is Maureen.

Norman Alderson mothers maiden name Teasdale in Auckland vol 10a page 408, 1st qtr 1927.

My grandmother who unfortunately died when my mum was 12 62? 63? was called Irene. She married a Norman Alderson but my mum tells me her mother was a Hardy. My mum was born in October 1949 and had numerous cousins, Fred, Hilary, Beryl and a few more on top. Her aunt is called Doris. Unfortunately Norman died in 1997 on my birthday (9th September). They lived in Bishop AUckland, County Durham and my mum trained to be a nurse there. SHe moved away when she married my dad. Mum was an only child but my grandfather did remarry Irenes sister Jean. Hope someone can help me build a picture of my maternal family
