Thanks Anita, I appreciate it. I haven't got an Elizabeth in Charlotte's family, what was the birth yr please? Most of her siblings were married by 1851, excluding 2 infant deaths. Sorry, should have said, the Elizabeth's I have are born 1815, and 1868 so not same-ish age. xx

Thanks Anita, I hadn't seen that one. That could be him. I have Charlotte's siblings, found it odd that her dad is on the 1841 in Bascote Heath (with Charlotte), disappeared for the 51, then back for the 1861. Just can't work out why, unless it was work reasons. But will look into what you've given me now, thankyou. PS, I dont think there was an earlier marriage for her, as I have her on the 1841 as Raven, and she married under Raven. There was a later marriage after James, but that doesn't help.

Her 4 kids were born there too, as were all Charlotte's siblings. I've looked through all the images in case the image is there but it wasnt transcribed by Ancestry, but no Raven's. (There is a Charlotte born 1847, but this is another family member, whom I have on my tree.)

Bascote Heath, thanks. It was near Long Itchington, Warks.

more info! Has anyone got any ideas? I have James Waine who married Charlotte Raven (born 1827) in Nov 1851 in Bascote Heath, Long Itchington, (Warwickshire). They had 4 children, before he died in 1858. I cannot see him on the 1851 census and have tried several times, and his marriage and death cert don't hold any clues. His wife reg'd the death, and his age wasnt given on it for some reason. His marriage cert says his father was William Waine, but I cant find a William Waine in Bascote, so maybe he wasn't from there. I have all 4 of the kids birth certs, but none have James age. He would have got Charlotte 'with child' in April/May 1851 hence the wedding in November, but although he must have been around, I cant see him. Saying that, Charlotte isnt in Bascote either, although I have her on every other census. I just can't see a way forward!
UPDATE: Have located his grave, he was born 1823 according to that. :-)
