I seem to be the only person researching the branch of the Wybrow family who settled in Chelmsford between 1830 and 1880. We are interested in Emanuel b 1837 d. 1915. His father was William from Layer de la Haye mother Mary Ann ?? from Writtle. My wife is a descendent of Emanuel and we are trying to take the line back into the 1700s. There is some suggestion that the Wybrow name generally has a middle-European source? Any takers??

Tks,
Derek
