His death certificate says he had been in australia for 30 years at time of death, so i would say around 1852/1853. There is a James Turner aboard the ship 'Woodstock' in 1853 but i'm not sure if that's him though.

his marriage certificate said he was also an engineer but death certificate says he was a labourer.

he married in australia in 1869 and at the time of his marriage was 26 years older than his wife so it's entirely possible that he was previously married before coming to australia.

i have tried but couldn't find them and don't have access to the census at the moment and i have no idea about his parents other than their names. Oh except that his father was possibly an engineer.

I have his marriage and death certificate images .Both which have his parents names and the marriage one has where he was born.

I'm trying to get more information on a James Turner born abt 1822 in Kensington, Middlesex and the marraige of his parents James Turner and Harriet Griffith(s).I have once again hit a major wall!! Can anyone help please??
