Hi, I need a kindly person to look up my Knight family tree. I have found them on www.findmypast.com. on the 1841 and 1861 census
but of course its pay to view. I am looking for William Henry Knight, born 11 jan 1844, James Knight, born 1849, Peter Knight born 1846.
They are 3 brothers from William Knight born 1810 in Ireland, and Ann Hart, from Aspull, Wigan. UK. This is as far as I can find and I dont know from which part of Ireland William is from so I am at a dead end. I can find two branches, one from William Henry and my branch from Peter, but I am also curious about James, he does not seem to have married. He pops up all over the place, then disappears. If anyone has time (and credits) to help me here I would be very grateful. Thanks heaps. Valerie

Thanks Glitter Baby, that looks correct for 1851. Looks like mother Ann Hart had her sister and her child lodging with them. In 1861 looks like William snr died as Ann is now head of household. I'm not sure about the 1841 census.
This is where I really need help to find William Knight born in Ireland 1810, occupation in 1840 farmer, and in 1842 weaver,1869 horse dealer married Anne Hart born 1819 in Aspull, wigan.
Its the Irish part I am trying to trace. I do not know from which part of Ireland he is from and I know lots of records have been destroyed.
Thanks heaps Valerie

Thanks Brenda, yours too looks correct, geez you guys are good !!!
Interesting to see James turns up as a lodger and still unmarried. Of the three sones, I cannot find any record of a branch from him. What do you see when it says "view"? the household transcript and original census ?
