have a fuller family tree on tribalpages can i transfer it all to genes family tree, or have i got to it person by person,,,

You can overwrite the old file with a new GEDCOM.

can you let me know how you do it, step by step,, think i had to much to drink over the festive season and just cant get my head around things,,,, and i have done this before,,,,

Debs, if you have the free tree on Tribal pages, as far as I am aware, you cannot export from there, just had a look, you can import Gedcom, but not export.

Not familiar with Tribalpages, but you should be able to create a GEDCOM. It will pobably be something like click on file, choose export entire file, select GEDCOM as the format you want, then save the file (remember where you have saved it to).

Then come into GR homepage, scroll down to the foot of the screen where it says Import GEDCOM. Hit the browse button, and go to where you saved the file and select it.

i think i will just forget the whole idea, of transferring it from tribal pages to here,,,

will input the info manually, when i have got more time, as i think i have around 200 more people on tribalpages
