Hi Michelle, Yes, I am aware of the Ancestry tree.

A descendant of George b.1819, has his marriage certificate which gives Giles as his father, but unfortunately at present we have no proof that he is also Joseph's or, indeed that the boys are siblings, hence my search.

All I have at the moment in the way of official documents is the 1841 census which shows Joseph and family living next door to a Sarah Poulter aged 60, George 23 and James 13.

Hi do you have Ancestry? There is a Meadows family tree on it which states father of Joseph as Giles Poulter

I am trying to find the parent(s) of Joseph Poulter who was born c.1812 in Wethersfield. He married Harriet Harrington, who was b. c 1817 Gt. Yeldham, Dec. 1835 in Wethersfield and they subsequently had 14 children, all b. in Wethersfield
