John set up family with Mary Ann in Barnstaple Devon, his trade was painter, had children, Lucy,Mary Elizadeth,Tamar Richard,Clare,Sydney,Kate,Herbert and Byron,
John is not mentioned in the 1841 census for Devonshire. The missing link must be out there some place, can any body HELP.
