Now I have found that it was Mary's second marriage I can start looking for the marriage of Mary Adams and Herbert Jones c1851.

Afraid not Mary Richards married John Adams in November 1848 in Church Stretton Shropshire and Herbert Jones in 1851/2 almost certainly in Shropshire

I have been looking for the marriage of Herbert Jones and Mary Richards for some time with no luck. With the help of a brilliant lady at Shropshire Record Office I have traced the birth certificates of their four children and found that on a couple of them it says mother Mary Jones maiden name Richards late Adams. From this I take it that she was a widow when she married Herbert Jones. I have found a marriage for Mary Richards and John Adams in 1848 but cannot find his death cert.
Is it possible that she could be Mary Adams on the marriage cert. Did this ever happen?
