meant to say the children, william, henry, laura and nancy were all william snr and laura snrs children.

thanks for your responses, i was following another line of enquiry and forgot to come back to this.

if william wallan on the 51 census is unmarried thats would fit because he married laura in dec qtr 56. (after his children were born) They have taken their fatehrs and mothers surname as they are all wallan carringtons. I checked with the help of some kind person on here a few days ago and lauras mums maiden name was carrington.

after their marriage the carrington seems to have dropped and wallan stuck-is that normal?

I have found a William Wallan Born Lambeth 14 June 1809 St mary's Lambeth.
Father William Wallan Mother Ann.
Another was William Wallan born Oct 1816 Hoxton London Father Willam Mother Amy.

how would i find out info on parents for william wallan. i know his marriage was to laura elizabeth boyce in 1856. I can only find him on 2 census' (61 and 71) it indicated he was born in lambeth. His name is transcribed as walter in the 1st of the 2. I cant find him prior to this. Also im unsure of his year of birth-one census states born abt 1817 and another abt 1813

im a little unsure of where to go from here.
