Hi, can anyone help with finding Mitchell's in Widnes.
My grandmother was Gertrude Mitchell (b 1922), daughter of Ada Hunt (b 1896 Widnes, died 1967 Widnes) and Tom (Thomas?) Mitchell. Ada and Tom were married 2nd qt 1916 in Widnes (Prescot)
Other than my gran, they had a son Timothy b 1916 and daughter Frances b 1918.
Tom Mitchell died in approx 1938 -40, I know it was before WW2, but I cannot find any entries.
He worked at the chemical factory.
Ada remarried Jack Patterson.

The above and most the stuff on LSD is my stuff. Up until recently I had assumed that John and Mary were Thomas's parents. Alomost gave an old gentleman a heart attack thinking his grandfather has another wife and family.
Is there anyway to get Thomas's fathers name other than ordering the marriage certificare?
