I am trying to find the birth record for Renay Maria Spangully on ancestry.co.uk. She married Ron Farwell in 1956 but I can't find her anywhere else. I've looked through the birth records and that surname doesn't exist anywhere! I've even googled it and only one entry is listed using the name Spangully which is just a myspace web page. |

Have you got a copy of the marriage certificate? If so how old was she in 1956 and was the spelling of the name Spangully. It is possible she was not born in the UK with given names of Renay Maria. |

I think I'll have to order a copy of the certificate. Just seemed odd that the surname Spangully doesn't appear anywhere! Is there a website that you can search overseas births? |

Renay Maria certainly sounds more French than English so that could be a possibility. |

Get a copy of the certificate - there might be another clue there. You only have to look through bmd to see how many weird and wonderful surnames there are out there. |

I think the certificate seems the only way to go! Just get's very frustrating when you can't find someone. She must have come from somewhere! Thanks for all your help. |
