I was searching for information on the Bull family as one of the daughters married into my tree. In the 1881 census I came across Sambo Bull in Stapenhall, Derbyshire. Surely that can't be his name. I couldn't find him anywhere else. Has anyone any suggestions as to who he really is? |

The most likely explanantion is that it's a 'pet' version of Samuel......... |
