Could be that the family was moving westwards towards Prestwich when they had Mary.

Jacqueline, on the 1901 census Gerri posted, Emma H is born North Clifton, Nottinghamshire, England, Rose M is born Catcliffe, Yorkshire, England, just outside Rotherham.

Still looking...It could be, 2 of her youngest children were born in Prestwich so for some reason I put her birth place as Prestwich.

Still looking......I don't think that is the right Emma. I thought Emma was born in Prestwich, Lancashire.

I do not have Emmas maiden name that is what I am trying to find, if it is at all possible.

Looks like that could be their marriage in 1896, E.Retford is not that far from Rotherham.

Do you have any of the childrens birth certificates to get Emmas maiden name? Once you have that, you can look for the marriage. When you get the marriage certificate, it will have the fathers names on it, and we can take it from there.

William was born 1869 in Suffolk and Emma was born 1867 in Prestwich Lancashire she died in 1913. Can anyone please help me find the names of thier parents. They had six children in all Emma, Rose, William, Mary, Elizabeth and Lily.
