Find Ancestors

I dont know if this is possible with not much information -Can anyone find James Bates (or Betts)in 1841 & 1851 census. His siblings were born between 1795-1803 in Teston,Kent. Both parents had died before 1841. In 1834 (from old letter) James was not living in Teston but was married with 7 children. He died 2 June 1857 . In 1851 census were there many James Bates (or Betts) born in Teston?

Because of the large gap between children it's very possible this is his 2nd wife.

Alfred becomes a grocer in Bath, Somerset, but unfortunately I can't find him in 1851 which should have his father plus place of birth.

There's also a John Betts, c1826 - Otham. living with his wife, Cordelia, in Bristol. He's a tea dealer & grocer.

Thankyou for this info. It looks like the James Betts you found in 1851 census born 1791 in Maidstone is the right one. But I dont think that this corresponds to the 1841 one you sent -but with one interesting fact on it. The lodger Sophia Stone aged 40. Earlier I found the 1881 census for Alfred Betts (the one that ozi found above). On the 1881 census is a lodger Sarah Stone aged 88 at Walcot,Somerset.Still trying to figure this out. BTW,heads up if any have neighbours/lodgers with the surname Gilbert.

I looked on free BMD for Betts births in St Pancras & found Charlotte Betts March quarter 1838. I will need to sort out which certs to purchase to confirm correct family-thanks for your help.
