Find Ancestors

Can anyone help please as I am a disabled oap unable to get to do a lot myself.Have done well on one side of family ,drawn a blank on Prangle side. My Grandfather Alfred Prangle born 1871 to Thomas born c1843 and Mary Aldidge.Can find out nothing about Thomas . At aged 9 Alfred is on census as living with his Aunt,uncle and cousins Aldridge. He later married their elder daughter Ellen,his cousin,my Gran. Thomas is on his birth certifcate as a groom in Winchester. Happy New Year to you all Doreen

I think Alfred is the unnamed baby on the the 1871. I've looked at the orginal & Thomas is a groom.

To West Country Las.Yes these are my Aunt and Uncle, Daisy my mum. The baby Ellen died at a month old.Yes Grandad married his cousin she bought me up as mum was unmarried.There seems to be other Prangles with same names who seem unconnected.Thomas was a groom/jockey.perhaps he rode off into the sunset. I inherited his interest and taught house riding for 35yrs,

Doreen neither Sophie nor I could find out what happened to Thomas although it does look like Sophie found him with his parents.
The only thing I can think of is he left the country or changed his name.
