I know his full name and DOB but I am a little unsure where they lived when he joined up . He served with the poineers from 1939 to 1946. ( I think ) ..I would like to get his service record but dont know his arm number.. Any ideas ?

Did your dad marry or have any children born whilst he was in the army? If so, his service number may be on the relevant certificate.
