Find Ancestors

Hi I am looking for the birth details of John A Perry.

I have found him in the 1891 and 1901 census but cannot find registration, I wondered if anyone else could.

I have posted this on trying to find with no luck, so trying again here

In the 1891 census John was living with his father in Townshend Rd St Marylebone...his age is 5, approx birth date of 1886
In 1901 still living at this address but now with another family reported to be his parents...however he has followed his 1st father into the same job. In this census he is reported to be age 18, circa 1883.
Both census state he was born in St Dulwich (?East/West)
in Kent or Surrey.

I would be so grateteful for any help with this so that I can find details of his fathers (my g.grandfathers) first marriage and therefore more possible details regarding this elusive man and this branch of the Perry family.
PS I do not think the second family is his mother remarried as in 1891 Johns father was registred as a widow.

What does the 'A' represent?

It may be better for you to find his marriage, get the cert, and confirm his father's details.............

Found Arthur in 1901. I think in 1891 he shows as married. Here he is with wife Edith and Alice Youell is wife's sister. So presume Ernest Youell in 1891 is wife's brother.

Dorothy (age 9) is shown as born Suffolk.

The John A Perry in 1901 aged 18 is living in the same house as the Bells - I don't think he is their son. If you look at the image he is a separate householder. I think the enumerator picked up on the Head/Wife/son pattern of the household just above them on the list.

Is John's age 8 or 5 on 1891 the image is not brilliant and it could be either. This would give poss yob of 1883?
