Thanx for the information Glitter Baby. I know George Clayton was not married until 1910. Long story there, but he sired 3 children before marriage. It is possible that Arthur may have been married, but not recorded correctly in the Census. However the census appears to show other Arthur clayton's, which may prove that he did not get married by that time. My Arthur would have been 33 at the time of the census. Considering that you found the two Arthur's at home with their families, would suggest that this is not the link I was looking for. |

1901 might rule out one of the marriages ? |

If you order the certs, specifying father's name as checking point, you will receive a partial refund for the one which does not tally |

I am stuck. I have a relative Arthur Clayton B:1867 Islington. His father was George E Clayton ( Not sure what the E was for). Arthur had a brother George who is my Great Grand Father. |
