Got it now...

The 1908 marriages for Montague Reuben Nunn has 2 rogue Hanover Square marriages on the page. These do not show on Freebmd.

That means there is a further rogue groom on the page.

Thanks to all,I didnt realise you could order Certs on just one partners name.To Julia, yes thats the one sorry i omitted that name just that theres Reuben as father who had 2 sons Reuben M & Reuben W so got confused.

Denise

At that date there should only be four names, 2 brides, 2 grooms.

I have checked both Freebmd and Ancestry and there are only two names transcribed.

Marriages Dec 1909

BLAYDON Clotilda Newmarket 3b 1177
NUNN Reuben Newmarket 3b 1177

So I am not sure what you looked at?? But is it 1909 not 1908?

Anyway this does not mean Reuben maried Clotilda, he may have married the missing bride.

You can however send for the cert giving just Reuben's name.

Denise,

My suggestion is to order the marriage certificate. Unfortunately, unless you know the woman's name the only way of knowing if it's your ancestor is with the certificate. It should also list the fathers' names of the bride and groom.

Pretty new to this hobby & wondered if someone can explain my query. When I trid to look up marriage on Anc.of Reuben Nunn in 1908 it shows page of 7 names (3 females 4 males) therefore how can I tell which he married? In 1901 census he was visiting brother so that no help either.
Sorry if im being thick ! Really appreciate any advice.
Thanks, Den
