Hi Maisy

How old was Catherine on their M/C as they must of known each other seeing as they married not long after the census was taken

If we could pick up Catherine then we might find William

Thanks Elouise

I have connections with all the Essex people but it's trying to get back before his marriage to Catherine that I really need to do. Thanks very much for taking the time to look for me.

Claire

I have no knowledge that he emigrated to America but I will keep my options open and look into this more at some point. Thank you.

Hi Elouise

I already have the information that you have kindly looked up for me. I've looked on various irish sites looking for this man and can find no trace although I'm not sure about the spelling of his name. Most of his children have different spellings for their births which doesn't help.

Today I received an email telling me that perhaps I should be looking in Scotland and not Ireland so I was hoping that some kind person could take a look and see if they are in Scotland.

I'm looking for a William Megranahan born about 1853/4. I don't have much information on him at all except that his father was called Joseph and was a labourer. I've been looking for him and thinking that he was Irish but I've now been told he could possibly be Scottish. Wondering if someone would have a look for me please.

Many thanks
Maisy
