Trying to find info on Ada Harris who gave birth to an illegitimate son,( my Grandad) Frederick Charles Harris in Fairmile House in Christchurch, Hants in Aug 1906. He was adopted and went to live with Joseph and Ellen Davis, farmers who lived in a small Hamlet called Tuckingmill in Compton Dando in Somerset. I don't know who Ada was or where she came from but I have found out that there were alot of Harris living in Pensford and Stanton Drew which is a few miles down the road to where my Grandad was adopted to. If you are a descendant of the Harris families from these areas or any connection to Hampshire or have an Ada Harris who may have had such a child, please, please contact me. Thanks from Rachael |
