Frances in Norwich

I am looking for information about Charles Robert Tims who I believe spent some time in Canada as a lumberjack in 1907/8. He was born in 1883 in Banbury Oxfordshire. I believe he returned to England in 1908.
If anyone can help with more details about his time in Canada I would be very grateful.

Frances,

I found a Charles Tims in Canada but he was born much earlier and from the London area.

Thankyou for looking Joan. I am sure my Charles was born in 1883 so it can't be the right one, and he was definitely born in Banbury Oxfordshire.

Oh wow, thanks, Yes I am sure that is him, thankyou so much.

Is it possible to find him on the voyage back to England? Would have been in Feb/Mar 1908.

I think i have found him on Ancestry, border crossing to USA in Sept 1907.

Thanks for looking. Now I have to find out why he went there in the first place - I know why he came back, his girlfriend was about to give birth!

Are there any other records I could search that you know of?
