Hi, I'm trying to find out some info on my g grandmother. Her name is Sonny Blanthorne and that is all i really know.
She married into the Davis family. Lived in Birkenhead, Liverpool. Had 2 sons (that i know of) Terrence Frederick Davis, dob 14-07-1928. Her other son i've been given 2 names for, Robin and Chris.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Jill,
Thanks for replying. I found out yesterday that my grandad had died (that's Terrence) 14th July 1997. This is when i got told his mother's maiden name was Blanthorne. My mum told me her name was Sonny. Is any info coming up on her?
Thanks for looking.

I knew my grandad when i was a kid, family split due to bad divorce, and i'm sure if she'd still been alive then i would of met her??
I would say she would of died at least 25 yrs ago, so i don't think this is the right one.
Thank you for trying though.

Jo,

I suspect Sonny/Sonnie/Sunny was a nickname. If you buy Terrence's birth cert. you will know for sure.

Thanks everyone, just got in.
Quick question for Portland Rose or anyone who knows ... I've ordered a death certificate for him, will it have his parents details on there?
I thought about Sonny being a nickname but my mother was convinced it was real, but maybe she didn't know?
I wouldn't have a clue if she was married before sorry.
And also, to Joan, the Christopher Davis is his mother's maiden name Blanthorne.
Thanks everyone.

Jo,

The death cert won't list his parents. Any information on a death cert is provided by an informant and sometimes they give incorrect details.

The birth Joan found gives Byurns as the mother's maiden name

I think Sonny is actually a male name.
