He was born 1845c and lived in Randwick near Stroud Glos

He should be living next door to Emma Brown

Just would like to know who the other members of his family were

Sorry to be a pain but would you mind looking at 1851 as well

Caleb went to Rhode island after he married Emma Brown.
She went later with another Merritt and her son.
Am trying to find a connection with why they went over there.
I know it was to do with the cloth industry.

Were the other members of that household in 1861 working in the cloth trade by any chance?

I haven't got their marriage certificate if that is what you meant.

Sorry I am a bit thick at times!!

The people living with caleb in 1861 were their occupations cloth workers .

Thinking about it he would have gone to Rhode Island by 1871.

M/C is marriage certificate

It just saves us typing it out sorry

Patrick & Caleb had the same occupation both are Wool hand loom weavers...the other 2 were labourers

On both your Emma Brown look up you have 2 different parents

1851..Beata & William
1861..Sarah & Phillip

That last family 1851 isn't the correct family .
Her parents were Philip and Sarah.

But thankyou any way.

It is a bit of a mystery really as Emma came back from America and seemed to end up in Birmingham area after 1881
Can't really understand why she didn't want to come back to her family in Randwick.

Will have to do some more searching
