Canadian Jessie Burton

Old Baranne Report 7 Jan 2008 15:38

Trying to trace a Jessie Burton, who would have probably been born in the 1920's. Her parents were Edward Walter & Florence Burton, from Kensington, UK.
At some point they emigrated to Canada. Since there does not seem to be any record of Jessie's birth in England, she was probably born over there.
Edward died in 1938 in Saskatchewan, Canada, when he was nearly 55. He may have been known by other names by his family, as we have him mentioned as "Uncle Mac" and "Jon".
We do not know if they had any other children, apart from Jessie. Jessie was still at school in 1938, and the family lived in the town of Regina.
We have photos of her, one taken when she must have been about 20, with a bicycle, and another taken fairly recently, with people we believe to be her children, Neil, Janet, Heather and Miriam. Unfortunately, we do not have any idea of her married name !
Any info would be gratefully received,
Many thanks,
Barbara
