Neilson Wood, birth entry?

Thanks John,

Will continue the search, am now wondering if perhaps everyone knew him as Neilson, but he was actually registered under a different name, this seems to have happened a lot in this side of the family!

looked at all quarters from 1935 to 1945.Not there.It is either after this date or as suggested registered in mother's name.
For information of others, all quarters are on Ancestry,you just need to open your search up.The solution is if you cant find a quarter just enter the surname.this is because the index shows first and last name but a lot of pages have additions entered after lists were typed and these affect the index.

I have! and found nothing..I suggest you look on 'findmypast' at the missing quarters.
FindMyPast is a pay to view site.

Was he the 1st born? Maybe his birth was reg under his Mothers maiden name? If so, then you will have to search for the Marriage.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help in a quick (hopefully!) search for Neilson Wood, born between 1938-1943 in London area, possibly Hornchurch.

His father was a Ronald Wood, born cir. 1920-22, married to a Patricia, unknwon maiden name.

Cannot as yet find him and would really appreciate anyone's help!
