Trying to find the Parents of Ernest J Gladwin

Hi, im trying to find the parents of Ernest J Gladwin (Approx1890).Ernest married Maud Green in 1913 in Medway but thats as far as i can find, any help much appreciated. Thanks

You need to get their marriage certificate to find out how old Ernest was exactly and also what the J stands for.

You will also get his fathers name and occupation which should mke it easier to find him on a census.

The only way to get his parents names is to buy his birth certificate.

you could find this on the free bmd site

this is the information you need to buy the marriage certificate from the General records Office. It will give you the fathers names, it will cost £7.
once you have that, you can then look for him on the censuses

there are these two births in Kent,
Ernest John Gladwin 1887 Jan-Feb-Mar Sheppey Kent

Frederick Ernest G Gladwin 1896 Jul-Aug-Sep Medway (1837-1941) Kent

The last one would have been 17 at the time of the marriage, but it is more likely to be the first one
