Hi Louise, Following on from Ingrid & Marlene's good work - there's a JOY MURRIN'S Transcription service. She visits NSW BMD and will search any given details you provide -her fee from $7.cheaper than buying certs......... Also -the NSW State Library has an 'Ask a Librarian' service (query form on-line -they will check their records incl. 'newspaper death/ accident notices' and electoral rolls (past & present) ..........Hopefully they will be able to tell you if your relative settled In NSW after his arrival. ........ Valerie (WA) |

Hi Louise, apparently there are no census records for Australia, the Government, in their wisdom, decided they should be destroyed once the data had been collated!!!! Their is a BMD site for NSW, you can search for free but you need to pay of course to receive the certificate, try this, www.bdm.nsw.gov.au Good luck, Marlene. |
