Three beers for Heather! So were these the right folks, and the searching around was worthwhile? Won't know for sure until a certificate or two comes in the mail, I guess. Hope Sheila keeps the assembled masses posted. ;) |

We may be lucky with that death cert - it gives a birth year of 1849 ish and here we have an Edward with a father Henry, a commercial traveller and mother Sarah: 1851 |

Is this his death? What I am trying to do is find his birth certificate from which you can confirm or otherwise your doubts over his parents and also find them together on the census info. |

Edward Georges birth certificate would give his mothers full maiden name - if he was born before 1837 then does he have younger siblings born after that date? |

Henry Piedgeon George was born around 1806 he possibly married a Sarah Rimes(but we need this confirmed). His trade was a wool merchant and he travelled the country in a horse & trap. His son was my great grandfather Edward George who married Jane Mossman. One of his sons we believe emigrated to Australia and there is possibly a large George family living in Melbourne now but we have lost contact with them now. |
