I am trying to find any further information on Ellen/Hellen Streetly. The census records have conflicting information and she has been either recorded as Stratley/Strutley born in 1848 or 1842, Bexley Kent. Other spellings are Sheetly and Streetley. Her father was Thomas (abt1819) and her mother was Sarah (abt1810). I believe she had a brother, Thomas (abt1848). She was married to William Longhurst in 1869, Kensington and they had two sons, William Thomas (1870) and Cornelius John (1874). 1881 census records have William Thomas living in the Royal Albert Orphan Asylum and Cornelius living with his grandparents, Thomas and Sarah. I believe William (1847), may have died in 1875 and she possibly remarried but I have been unable to find any further information. |
