Ignore that last reply Kelly, its not right

we need a Miss ..... Moore, marrying a man called Mr .......Booth.

if we could somehow find out one of their first names, that would really help

Kelly, when you reply, could you do us a huige favour, and type in proper words- some of us really dont understand text speak very easily

Q1 means quarter 1.

Each year has 4 quarters..

jan feb march.....Q1
apr may june.....Q2
july aug sept.....Q3
oct nov dec...Q4

1b-1643 is the reference you need when ordering and buying a birth, marriage or death certificate. Each one costs £7.

1b means the volume number.
1643 means the page number.

Gerri.

I shall delete the last posting that was a wrong one...sorry, I was tired.

Got it!...yesssssssssss!

Marriage
Dorothy Moore or Sutton (i dont understand this bit)previous marriage maybe??
1955 quarter 2 (apr may june)
Manchester
10e
387
Spouse 'John N.Booth'

This is your Grandparents marriage registration and with this info you can buy the certificate (£7)
It will tell you both Fathers names of the bride and the groom. (your great grandfathers)

The marriage is of your Mums parents.
This shows that your Mum Karen was born before they got married.

This COULD be your grandfathers birth reg...You cant know for sure untill you buy the marriage cert cos that will have his age on it.

So if he says he was aged about 24 when he married, you can be pretty sure that the birth i found is the correct one.

John N.Booth
1931 quarter 1 (jan feb mar)

Mothers maiden name 'Morley'
