ahhhh the curse of the double barrelled name.

I had a headache with my great grandfather, who was firmly behind a brick wall for more than 7 years, until I discovered a letter he wrote in a newspaper in 1920 which led me to an address, which in turn revealed he used several names (never his birth one), married 3 times at least bigamously, and had 22 children (those are just the ones I know of) - Just think of the descendants with that lol.

One of his made up names was double barrelled and oh my what problems I had finding all descendants (I got there in the end though).

Further to the 1911
this might be how Ron and Emily met

Ron was a merchant seaman around the time of his first marriage 1912 to 1918

Thanks for asking Moody Blue

have located a marriage ( i think )for the son of Emily Gertrude living in the same address in 2002 as he was in 1972 when he registered his mums death .

I am waiting for the certificate to arrive to confirm

My ultimate goals are
1 to get a photograph of Ronald in his latter years
2 to stand by his grave and say " Ha , found you"
