Trying to find Tobin

Could anyone help me i cannot find any trace of my g.grandfather after his marriage in 1898. His Name was Philip Tobin, married Hannah Parker Gladstone in 1898. In 1899 my Grandmother was born and he left very soon after that. can't find him on any of the cesus although he was a sailor. We understand he made a new life for himself but where? He came back a few times to try and make amends with my grandmother and get to know his grandchildren, this did'nt happen, my grandmother never forgave him. his fathers name was John any help would be greatly appreciated |

I have a John Tobin b1840married Catherine Scanlan b1840, daughter Catherine,all from London SE? I have more descendants but no siblings of them.Any good? Hein |
