Tomlinsons in America There is a story in my family that we are from America, that at some time before the war of independence an ancestor migrated to the Americas but as a result of the war (being loyalists) all or some of the family returned to England.I have traced my family back to 1785 but can get no further. I have never heard of this returning phenomenon Before can any one throw any light on this please and are there any records?
