KIPPAX TOWNENDS My grandfather was James Arthur Townend born in Kippax, West Yorkshire, in 1916. His parents were Arthur Townend and Annie Tinker. I have done really well going backwards in time but still know virtually nothing about my grandfathers family. He had many siblings according to my mother: Horace, Norah, David, James, Peter, Harry, Mary, Amy, William, Jack, Ernest, George and Albert, all born in Kippax between 1905 and 1925. If any of these Townends were your parents or grandparents and you have any information or better still photos of them or even Arthur and Annie i would be really grateful to hear from you, hopefully Sharon Collins. |
