Ann P WIlliams Report 7 May 2007 02:07

William TUCKER born 1822 Wycombe Bucks, UK married Emma BROOKES born Fort Beaufort, Africa 1832 married 28th June 1848 (in Africa, think King Williams Town< but know it was definately on the Eastern Cape), they had 3 children 2 of which were born in Africa, a son only shown as W. TUCKER born Grahams Town, Africa 1850 and a daughter E.S. born King Williams Town, 1851. The family moved to UK to Shorncliff in KENT, later in 1863 another son Ernest Fitzroy Harry (Harcourt) TUCKER was born. No further information regarding W. Tucker and E.S. Tucker has come to light, can anyone please help, did they die at Shorncliff KENT camp? as by 1871 census there is no mention of them or in future census. Their parents Emma and William along with Ernest moved to Forton in Hants. Ernest F. H. (my great grandfather) later became a watchmaker and jeweller. Can anyone help with records in regard to W. Tucker and E.S. Tucker?
