Sorry I will start again My grandmother was born in 1889[december] Her mothers name was Elizabeth but we are to believe that her mother died when she was a small child [under 5] her father name was Henry Arthur Hunt her name was Ethel Hunt she married Harry George wiggins in 1908 . I am now looking for someone to help with Ireland infro

It would be a big help if you mentioned what her name was *after* she married! Her husband's name, her given name ... Otherwise, this is one of those puzzles missing at least two pieces.

If her father was Henry Hunt, was her surname not Hunt?

Thanks have now found Henry Hunt date and place of death [1951 at Swindon Wiltshire] Still trying to find the maiden name of Elizabeth Hunt plus the marriage date .

Your grandmother Ethel's birth cert will name her mums maiden name.I would get that cert then you can look for the marriage of Henry and Elizabeth

That's the conclusion I came to also Maureen.

I traced the family from 1901 on the 1911 Census and he is down as Henry ALFRED (mind you, this could be a mistranscription as his age is stated as 62 which is obviously not correct.

However, I also traced the correct marriage for this couple (second marriage for Henry) and this also states Henry Alfred:

So, either we have the wrong family on 1891 and 1901, which I don't think we have, or his middle name was Alfred?
