any help appreciated on where to search for details of prisoners between 18861897

Hi Michael
This prison ,is it the one in Dorset ,near Weymouth.
I`m from Hampshire, and don`t know of prisons with that name in this area.

just search the www.blacksheepancesters.com/uk
it will list all the prisons, and you can choose what and where to look.
Portland is Dorset.
