Hi trying to find parents of an Archibald Weir.
He married a sarah mckechnie in 1879. He was born around 1855.
I have his marriage cert that gives a george weir and martha ? (can't read)but can find nothing about them or his birth.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Was George Weir listed in the 'father's name' box? What was george's given occupation?

Where did it say Martha? Was this listed on the Witness's section....or were George & martha both listed in the witness's section?

Ok, just realised, you have a Scottish marriage??

archibald was a labourer and his father (sorry think it says farmer.
It is really hard to see, very faint

I cannot find a marriage, and was thinking they may have been Irish?

Have you a death for Archibald? His death cert will also have his parents details.

Found it he died 24 Nov 1923, Bailside, Chapelhall.

Martha is not listed, i guess james the son did not know her name?

Seems Sarah was still alive in 1923.
