Trying to find Weld

Hi to all. I have a Mary Ellis born circa 1780 in my tree and have been told by a third party that she is believed to be related to WELD families from Lulworth in Dorset, but I know nothing of this connection. Is there a member of the WELD or WELDS family out there who knows of this connection. To the best of my knowledge my Mary Ellis was born in Bromborough which was then in Cheshire so there is a good distance between the two localities, but you never know! My thanks to all who read this and special thanks for any replies. John Ellis (Heswall, Wirral, UK)
