Trying to trace Annie Gardner, later Atkins then Weston.
Annie appears to have married James Weston as Annie Atkins in 1916 in Leicester, then had two children, Gladys Towers Weston in 1918 and Alfred Towers Weston in 1920 by Alfred (?) Towers.
Struggling to find her birth certificate, death certificate or marriage to give Atkins name. Unfortunately, both her children have passed away now.
Any help very much appreciated - this would start the branch of my maternal grandfather's ancestry - the family have no clue where to start at the moment!

Maiden name Gardner.Let me know where the Gardner/Atkins connection comes from be interested.Here's a wild guess maybe if that 1901 census record is correct and she was so young in a workhouse there was confusion over her surname?she def married as Atkins cos the marriage record shows the Weston husband.

Another clue to take a look at is the 2 children having Towers as middle name.Often (and i have a few in my tree)the children were given the maiden name of either one of the mothers to have as middle name and it carries on that surname as a middle name.
This might not be the case here but worth looking at.
