Hi Sam,
not sure if this will be of any help ,but tried searching S P for g,grandmothers marriage and could not find anything.
I put a lookup request to the fantastic people on Rootschat and they came up trumps for me,
G,gran was baptised and eventually married in the scottish episcopal church,which SP do not have any records for.
It may be worth a look.

My saga is so close to the end its unbelievable!!!
Im down to trying to find the last 3 sets of parents on my list and then ive decided that after these i think my mother in law will be back far enough that she has a good idea of her ancestory.
However i am drawing blanks with the last members. They are all scottish.
Still to find i have.....
The parents of John Robertson. I know nothing about this man only that he married an Ann Laing who was born in November 11th. I cannot find their marriage certificate on scotlands people at all. They did however have 2 daughters (helen, christian) and 1 son (John) and a niece Ann lived with them.
The parents of George Anderson. Again i know nothign about this man except he married a Margaret Yull/ Yule on 31/8/1849 and together they had twin daughters magdelene and ann born on either the 2nd feb 1850 or the 25 feb 1850 (think the 25th was the baptism though). UPDATED - i believe George had a sister called Madeline or Magdalen as i have a previous census lookup noting an Elder connection - in which case i have found their parents who were a Robert Anderson and Magdalen Brown. Thank you!
The parents of Margaret Yull. She is sometimes misrepresented as Yule though. She married George Anderson and had twin daughters. (see above)
The mother of Colvill Graham born 25th september 1816. his fahter was william graham but the birth certificate does not say his mothers name and ive no idea how to go about finding it! He married an Ann Sim in January 1842.
Again all these members are scottish and any help in finishing this tree would be very appreciated as i need to get my life back and start doign housework etc again because ive gotten so obsessed with it that my life seems to have revolved around this site and the scotlands people site!!!!
