Hello everyone
Looking through the tips, I see that searching Irish record is not easy but I have to try.
I have Austin Smith married 1858 in Liverpool when he was of "full age". He has been very difficult to trace but I think I have found him in the 1851 census, aged 20 and born in Ireland. I do know his Father was called jonathan and a farmer.
Now, how can I take this further please?
Thanks in advance
Irene

Thanks INis
I believe Austin was born abt 1831.
I will look carefully through the info you have sent. Where did you get it from please?
Thanks again

Not sure that the family you found in 1841 can be mine. The wife is too young (or a second wife) as Austin was 20 in 1841. Also on Austin's marriage cert his father, Jonathan is a farmer, and deceased.
But thanks anyway.

Austin certainly had children. I really could do with finding Austin's birth cert but don't know where to start

INis,

I am so sorry. I must be getting tired with all this looking at the screen. I have just gone back to my paperwork and I see I was right first time. If I have the right man, then he was 20 in 1851 and therefore born in abt 1831.

Sorry again
